Pictures and information on skin boils - Puss is useful!
A skin boil is an infection at the base of the hair follicle.
The infection causes the body to send puss to the area and hence the
follicle becomes enlarged. The bacteria causing the infection is called
Staphylococcus aureus (staff-ill-o-cock-us, or-I-us). The skin around
the area often becomes red and inflamed and the boil can spit out puss.
Treatment for the skin boil is usually antibiotics, although
these will cause much damage to your body as they wipe out all the friendly
bacteria in your guts in the process and make digesting food more difficult.
The natural home remedy treatment would be to take garlic
orally each day and also rub it on the affected area, mixed with olive
oil. The antibacterial properties of garlic are excellent.
If the boils keep coming back it usually means the bacteria
is living in your nose and suggests your immune system may be weak.
We would suggest doing a cleanse
or fast of some sort to rid the body of toxins and allow
the eliminatory organs to function more efficiently once again.
